032425 BOAT SHOW SUMMONS SUMMER, DON’T MISS THE BOAT FOR THE NEXT CHART PALM BEACH ANNUAL ISSUE
The Palm Beach International Boat Show each years marks the start of spring and visions of summer for this native Floridian. Water sports and activities on Florida’s waterways were the backdrop of my youth as the captain of my high school swim team and as one of the first three girls on the UCF collegiate surf team. I’ve spent countless days on and around the waters of the coastlines of Florida and the Caribbean islands. As a waterman or woman, we are students of nature. We like to have fun and can consider being still quite fun. We can graze precarious situations, so we understand the nature of loyalty and teamwork. Walking the docks of the boat show reminds me of my past adventures and much about who I am. This year it gave me a particularly strong yearning for an extended time around the ocean and beach life. Quiet time boating or biking around a beach is where I typically write my books.
Before I shift to any down time, I am fully immersed in concluding the production of the next annual issue of Chart Palm Beach magazine for next season 2025-26. This issue will have many fresh faces with stories of charities and arts, our only two topics. Contact me in the next few weeks if you want to be included. The final deadline of April 15 is fast approaching. I would love to share your story! Don’t miss the boat!
