Freedom on Independence Day

Publisher’s Note for Independence Day

070324 THE FREEDOM TO CREATE

In Charlotte, NC, the sermons on freedom by Reverend Alexander Craighead inspired the 1775 Mecklenburg Declaration, the precursor to the 1776 US Declaration of Independence. I am related to him, and centuries later share his passion for freedom and patriotism for America. This July 4, 2024, 248 years later, I feel especially grateful for our (unique ever in the history of the world) freedoms and vision of The American Dream. As a writer, I continue to feel compelled to inspire people to keep The American Dream alive and vibrant. Sharing stories about charities and arts in Chart, about citizens using their freedoms and creativity for the betterment of society, are part of that personal mission.

I am so grateful that I am entrusted to share these inspiring stories through Charticles (one page with a photo and 250 words) and ghostwriting book projects about how each of us can make a difference in our own way to positively impact what is personally and uniquely important to us. Not many cultures enjoy the freedom to choose how they spend their resources, talents and gifts. We are so very lucky to live The American Dream. It was worth creating and it’s worth cherishing and protecting for future generations.

Let Freedom Ring this Independence Day!
