Robert Desourdis and Suzan Zimmerman founded Freedom for Italy Incorporated (FFII) as a nonprofit in 2026. Robert had spearheaded the Freedom for Italy initiative for years with weekly international telecons and annual events related to FFII’s mission to memorialize the sacrifices of soldiers and civilians in the WWII Italian Campaign and to help preserve our shared democratic values for current and future generations.
