Children’s Book Author / Illustrator and Artist Laurie Ingersoll draws inspiration from the 15 places she has lived globally, especially St. Croix. The Caribbean water view influences on her colorful art have attracted collectors across the US and abroad. Laurie also creates for her communities setting up nonprofits such as a St. Croix artist guild and a women’s empowerment group that taught local women how to sew items from repurposed fabrics to sell to tourists. Laurie believes in the healing power of art and art therapy and uses it in workshops from grief to cancer survivors. Laurie is a good soul and her vibrant inner beauty shines through in her art. She lived in Winter Park during Covid and now resides in Cape Coral on The Gulf. Chart is thinking of Laurie today August 5 during Hurricane Debby. Hurricane Ian hit Cape Coral in September 2022 and destroyed her condo and much of her art collection. Laurie is now painting again for an upcoming Charty Party in Palm Beach. Chart is excited to see what she creates on her canvases.
