Mike Durkee became the executive director of North Palm Beach-based Wounded Veterans Relief Fund in 2016. Under his leadership they did a statewide expansion of the Urgent Financial Assistance Program to bridge the gap for veterans in need for housing, transportation and other essential financial needs. In 2021, they launched the Critical Dental Assistance Program for disabled veterans in Palm Beach County then expanded to all of Florida. Their goal is to continue to help more veterans with their two core programs, and to expand the dental network nationally.
